Snowbirds fly over Manitoba Tuesday as part of Operation Inspiration

Team set to take off in Winnipeg at 9:30 a.m.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will fly over parts of Manitoba Tuesday morning to help boost morale during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The aerobatics team is on its national Operation Inspiration tour of the country to lift Canadians' spirits as they enter the third month of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team will take off from 17 Wing, an air force base in Winnipeg, at around 9:30 a.m., doing a loop over the city.

From there they'll fly toward Portage la Prairie, following the Trans-Canada Highway.

They're expected to be in Brandon by 10:30 a.m.
