Description
A strong ridge of high pressure will bring hot temperatures tomuch of central and northwestern Nevada valleys Thursday andFriday. Temperatures in valleys will be 15-20 degrees abovenormal, rising well into the 90s with some lower 100s innortheastern Nye County. Record highs could be tied or brokenacross the area Thursday. Some reprieve from the heat is expectedovernight with temperatures cooling down into the 50s except forthe West Wendover area where lows will only drop into the upper60s to lower 70s. High temperatures will reach the 90s in manyvalleys through the weekend with some cooling expected early nextweek.Visit www.weather.gov/elko for the latest weather information.
